Quirky Tag

November 7, 2008

I was tagged to write about 6 Quirky things about me by Dinesh Babu and well, it’s been some time! Finally I did the tag: my six quirks.

1) I talk to myself at times and smile too. Pretty eerie huh!
2) I need to go to the loo before I go out, no matter whether I need to or not.
3) And like, Reema, I mew when I see a cat, but no, I don’t bark when I see a dog!
4) When I leave the house I need to check that the keys are in my purse, even though I have checked a few seconds before.
5) I like to put on music and dance while cooking. In fact if anyone sees me they will think I am crazy as I used ladles and kadhais freely during the dance exercise, often waving them around!
6) I have this habit of repeating sentences while speaking! It is embarrassing but it slips out before I know what’s happening.

I thought I would mention here that Odzer had asked me to write more personal posts and in his words he said:

…it would be fun to see what you do when you are just around your own environment

Well, I do have my About Me page, in which I have written something about myself. But as for my daily life there is really nothing much to share. My life is pretty routine and peaceful!

Dancing while cooking is an interesting quirk. I thought only models in Ads and heroines in movies did them πŸ™‚ I hope it comes out well (the cooked food and not the dance πŸ™‚ ). Thank you for doing the tag, I enjoyed reading it. I just smiled at myself πŸ™‚

@ Nita : You are a quirky one eh. I have done this tag once a while ago. You are already putting in to action the feedback you took, wow! You know the only time i use my iPod is when I wash dishes. I find it quite relaxing πŸ™‚

    Nita:
In my brother professions, they have a specific name for people who, while talking to themselves, dance with pots and pans. I don’t know the name, but sounds equivalent to ‘fruitcake’!
    This post was funny!

    Hi all (well…almost all)!

I have always envied people who can multitask. Now you have given me more to feel envious about.

Reema, I think all of us do at times! Its just that if it gets too much it’s a warning sign! πŸ™‚

Dinesh, well my family swears by my cooking! My husband strongly believes that one of the ingredients in any dish is love and care and I also think music is another! πŸ™‚

Sahaja, good to hear I am not alone!

Sakhi, you took the words out of my mouth!

Odzer, music livens up every activity!

Rdoc, I think I should thank Dinesh for not asking me to list 10 quirks. πŸ˜‰

Vivek, I think women are better are multi-tasking than men!

Dance? Don’t your neighbors complain? And what about pots in the cupboard? Do they fall down or you have made some support arrangement for them? πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
Ok ok I am not asking these questions as I don’t want to be hit by “ΰ€²ΰ€Ύΰ€Ÿΰ€£ΰ₯‡” πŸ˜›

I would love to eat dancing food cooked by you someday (plz make sure you don’t put ΰ€—ΰ₯ΰ€³ or ΰ€Έΰ€Ύΰ€–ΰ€° in ΰ€°ΰ€Έΰ₯ΰ€Έΰ€Ύ OR ΰ€ΰ€Ύΰ€œΰ₯€, you know, ΰ€•ΰ₯‹ΰ€•ΰ€£ΰ€Έΰ₯ΰ€₯ ΰ€…ΰ€Έΰ₯‹ ΰ€΅ΰ€Ύ ΰ€¦ΰ₯‡ΰ€Άΰ€Έΰ₯ΰ€₯, without ΰ€—ΰ₯ΰ€³ they eat nothing πŸ˜€ )

Yep, you will get gool, we use it a lot and tamarind too. chinch gool is a standard ingredient! So I guess that means you won’t eat my dancing food? πŸ™‚ But don’t worry I make good pasta as well and also punjabi khana. πŸ™‚ – Nita.

Nita, funnily, I can imagine you doing all of this πŸ™‚ #6 is funny thoug- So do you say something like “How are you? How are you?”

Ruhi, usually I repeat myself when I am making a statement, rather than asking a question. I might repeat something like, This movie is good, or the weather is cloudy! Or I might tell my maid don’t keep this in that place. πŸ™‚ This repetition comes in handy while ordering at restaurants but in conversation the other person might get irritated. I don’t do it all the time though. Sometimes. πŸ™‚ I am conscious of it. – Nita.

Dancing while cooking reminds me of the scene in DDLJ where the sisters were dancing in the hall while Farida Jalal danced while cooking food and the suddenly Amrish Puri comes and the whole atmosphere changes. πŸ™‚
